New Week

Creator Journals 9/30/25

Right after waking up this morning, I went and got some pumpkin spice at Dunkin Donuts. I didn’t want to spend the day being a shut-in again.

This is it, the end of September. October starts tomorrow and I’ll be driving straight on into my Halloween project.

Today I managed to finish my revisions on Beach Knight chapter 3 and send it out to my beta-readers. I’m tired and I think I might be getting sick. That tends to happen to me in the early Fall.

I think I do have a bit of trouble multitasking sometimes. Going back and forth between the tone of BK and CoD is sort of a struggle. I want to get really spooky this season. I want to be absorbed in it. Filled with cold wind and pumpkin spice. So it might be hard to flip the switch back to Beach Knight.

Today’s writing tip: If you’re making up words, try to make an index that clarifies how they’re all spelled. You don’t want to keep forgetting. That would be bad.
