I’ve been getting small but important creative work done. I’m building characters, backgrounds, settings and themes . . . but yeah . . . chapter 5 is still mostly not done. A July release date definitely seems unlikely.
It’s a gray, rainy day out today, a nice spring/fall window in the summer. I’m thankful for that. This has been a bit of a slow creative week for me, but I need those occasionally.
It can be a little hard to find things to talk about daily on this blog sometimes. I can’t talk about my story in too much detail because I don’t want to give things away. But the long and short of it is that I’ve found The Heart, the core themes, core scenes, core moods, and once I find the heart of the story, the process is somewhat unstoppable. Even though this story is a silly comedy, it still has something to say, and I have something to say. I think if you pour enough of your life force into anything, it begins to take on a life of its own, and I’m giving life to the Beach Knight. So stay tuned!
