Thankful for Necromancers

Creator Journals 11/29/25

It has been a few days! I have been out of town for the holidays and had less internet access than I am used to! I hope my dear readers will forgive me, as I strive not to beat myself up for this brief lapse in output.

I’m so excited for Eversolstice. It won’t be as long as The Cause of Death, but I think it will be a very unique reading experience.

Thanksgiving gave me the opportunity to pitch my book to some extended family. That’s always kind of a weird time. You fill yourself up with pride and passion and try to explain to a bunch of people that you wrote about a necromancer trying to prevent an undead plague. Then, it hits you; I’m such a huge nerd! I bet most of these people don’t even think about “Necromancers” once a month, much less one a day. But we are what we are, and I am a man writing books about a necromancer, and I love my life.

I am thankful, readers, for you, for my creative projects, and for necromancers!

May they raise all of our spirits from the grave of disinterest and boredom.

Today’s writing tip: Try telling family members and random strangers about your writing project. Perfect your pitch!

Success! You're on the list.
