Future Vultures

Creator Journals 10/25/25

Slow work day today. Slow writing day as well.

I need horror movies in my diet, so I’ve been trying to watch The Blackcoat’s Daughter today. Over all, this is the third time I’ve started the movie from the beginning, because it’s kind of slow and slice of life and I keep zoning out.

The Chainsaw Man movie was perfect, though. Loved that. More of those, please!

I finished revising chapter 8 and I want to get a start on 9, but I’m not feeling the motivation. I should push. I should push myself forward just a little bit. I want this to be good and done. I want a good Halloween fantasy book to celebrate this strange and dark month.

I’m also thinking about what the next Vulture Tale might be, if I decide to write another one next year. I think I might want to go for some more slow-burn, technical and Lovecraftian, to let the rare flashes of character shine brighter. My brain is already churning out new ideas.

Happy weekend before Halloween!

Today’s writing tip: Think about things you hate. See if you can find a fun way to fit them into your story. Both light and darkness are necessary for cosmic balance.
