Creator Journals 10/18/25
The revision is coming along, but I’d rather be playing Blasphemous.
The next chapter is taking a longer time to revise, or maybe I’m dragging my feet. I’m not really sure which. Either way, I think this chapter is coming out better for having a few more hours to cook.
I am drawn to leisure like Frodo being drawn to The One Ring. I just want to play videogames, guys. I don’t really want to do much else. I just started playing “Blasphemous” again and it’s really good. I haven’t played it since spring of ‘22, but I’d actually like to finish it this time. It’s spooky enough to be an October game.
But I should be writing instead! At this rate I might not get to finish chapter 6 before the end of the day! I wanted to have my book finished with plenty of time for marketing and advertising, but the process is starting to slow down.
It is what it is.
Today’s writing tip: Think up a scene that serves no purpose. Put it in your manuscript. See what happens.
