Creator Journals 9/19/25
Off work today. I think writing is harder after I’ve gotten my bath. I should try to write in the morning more instead of the afternoon. Got 1k words in and a good bit of revision.
Circles is coming along nicely. I’m definitely a bit tired out after Beach Knight, but I’m still able to create quite a bit, and I intend to keep going. I intend to keep using these muscles.
I’m settling back into the character voice of my new POV character. She doesn’t talk or sound like Ralgar, but there are some similarities. Both of them have a tendency to simplify things. Both of them have a lot of rage and are striving to find their place in this crazy world. Trog might be one of the most depressing characters I’ve ever given the full POV to. I think it’s important to understand her and her hardships. Fiction is a place where we can safely engage with problems and learn to overcome them.

Today’s writing tip: Try to keep your workspace neat and orderly. The stress and the chaos of a messy area will get to you. I know it gets to me, at least.
