Revising Chapter 3

Creator Journals 9/16/25

Had a hard day yesterday, but today I’m a bit better. I’m trying to be gentle with myself as far as the writing schedule goes. The original chapter 3 is a bit rough and needs a lot more meat on its bones, but I think I generally know which bones to put the meat on.

I’m actually surprised how much one of my main characters; Ferm, has grown since the early parts of this draft. He was much more of a generic archetype early on, and I think there’s a lot more for him to say now. His still ridiculous and foolish, but that’s his charm.

This morning, my mind was invaded. I started thinking about writing a short one-off mini novel for Halloween. I don’t know if that’s wise or not, but it seems I haven’t dismissed the idea yet. Maybe it will happen, provided I have the energy and feel comfortable enough to step away from my other projects for a bit. I guess we’ll wait and see what happens. Only good things!

Only the best things.

Today’s writing tip: Stay hydrated while you write. Man. Don’t get dehydrated while you’re writing.

Success! You're on the list.
