Creator Journals 9/7/25
Sunday. No writing. Instead I ate sushi and donuts and slept till 10.
At the sushi restaurant, my mind tried to associate every song with Beach Knight. It made varying degrees of sense. I imagined various characters in unhappy relationships with Ralgar when “Good Luck Babe” played (twice).
I wonder if anyone could be happily married to Ralgar. I feel like he wouldn’t be very affectionate. I wonder if he’ll ever find love. Well, I’m going to keep writing about him, so hopefully we’ll all find out eventually.
This book mostly serves to establish the characters, setting and major themes of the longer series, so I don’t know if any of the “ships” will be resolved even a little bit.
But all in all, I like happy endings.
Today’s writing tip: Never write for your audience. Write for yourself. Always.
