Creator Journals 9/4/25
I finished my revisions on Beach Knight chapter 1 and started sending it out to beta-readers. I’m excited to hear the feedback. Hopefully, I can get the other 10 reader-ready in quick succession. I want to be able to get back to the place where I left off in The Kingdom’s Disdain, and then maybe explore one of my other projects for a bit.
It is now the season of pumpkin spice, and I need to make sure to inhale as much of it as possible. Dunkin has pumpkin donuts now, so I have to make sure to get one soon, or I might explode.
Creatively, I’m struggling a bit in entering a phase where revision is the focus instead of output. I wish I had enough energy to do a ton of revision and also grind out a new project, but that doesn’t sound healthy.
Let’s stay alive instead.
Today’s writing tip: Allow yourself to be satisfied, at least once a day. If you don’t let yourself feel peace and pride, you will never survive as a creator. You will burn away and disintegrate.
