How We Handle Writer’s Block

Creator Journals 8/28/25

I had to get up and clean early this morning. Afterwards, I did not feel like writing at all. I just felt like laying on the couch with my eyes closed. So, after a long youtube video-essay, I ended up reheating some old coffee at 1PM and taking a glance at my manuscript. Still did not feel it. I was beginning to wonder if today needed to be an entire rest day. Instead, I wrote down some new ideas for book 2, because brainstorming is easier and sometimes more fun than actual writing.

After that, I looked at my outline. I decided to write just three sentences. Those sentences were very fun, so three turned into ten, and soon I had a good seven hundred words. I finished the section I was on and decided to call it a day.

I’m proud of the work I did today. I didn’t tire myself out, but I managed to push through and create a scene I was proud of.

Every wall has a hole, a door, or some way to climb over.

Today’s writing tip: Try telling us how it smells! Think about the smell sometimes!

Success! You're on the list.
