The Cusp of the End

Creator Journals 8/23/25

I got to sleep until 8AM today. It was amazing! And my wife was home! What a beautiful weekend! I spent a lot of it cleaning and a lot more of it writing! Chapter 10 is done, and, starting next week, I can finally begin writing the last chapter. I feel like I’ve been waiting a very long time.

After this, I’m hoping to do final revisions over the course of about a week and send it off to my beta-readers. After that, I’m putting it away and letting it sit until next year. I had an idea about rough drafting book 2 this year, but I don’t think that’s totally realistic anymore. I need to be free of Beach Knight come Halloween and Fall or my place in the year and in time itself will be lost.

I think I will manage to finish this story without burning out or going into a frenzied mania.

It’s been a long time since I’ve authored a real, full novel. I’m proud.

Today’s writing tip: If you ever find yourself having to write a boring scene, you’ve failed. Cut it out, or find a way to make it interesting.

Success! You're on the list.
