I turned one tiny point in my outline into a thousand words today. I fear I’m becoming too powerful. Additionally, some things at my job have changed in a positive way which should also allow for me to have a little more mental energy saved up. My book is getting better and better as I barrel toward the finish-line. I think the first rewrite is going to be a ton of fun!
I am inventing so many characters that do not really need to exist, but it’s fine, since I intend for this to be a long series which will all take place in this particular setting, and I can reuse all of them a lot.
A list of a few side characters I’ve randomly conjured into existence:
Thefwin Peachwillow
Frendlick
Gastel and Orman
Olaf son of Olaf
Saint Jakamoth, The World’s Most Boisterous Man
Miss Shirana Chongus
Merglett
Overhedge
Sinbad
And many more.
I think I was born to make up goofy background characters. I think I have a calling.
Today’s writing tip: Find people who like your writing and encourage you. Yes, look for harsh critics too, but we all need encouragement.
