Creator Journals 8/10/25
Sunday. I’m out with friends all weekend. I went to see a double-feature. Weapons and The Bad Guys 2. Both very similar movies. Weapons was really creepy and surprisingly funny. It kind of reminded me of Long Legs.
Tomorrow I get to hop back into Beach Knight chapter 9. After that, I’m two chapters from the end. I’m thinking of coming up with some kind of theme for my chapter titles. I feel like the ones I have so far just don’t really pop the way I want them to. This whole series needs to have its own very original stylistic identity, so I want to do something fun with the titles. I know chapter titles have fallen out of style with a lot of readers, but I don’t really care. I love titling things.
I can’t help myself. If I’ll take any opportunity to invent titles.
Today’s writing tip: Read. Read and also maybe listen to audiobooks. It’s a cliche, but it’s true. Reading helps you write. It helps a lot!
