Creator Journals 8/4/25
I’m going to be continuing with the character bios. Today we will be talking about the second of the four Sea Larks; the lutist, Carmolask.

Carmolask is the newest member of the traveling all-female troubadour group known as “The Sea Larks”. She was found and made the lutist after the band lost their previous lutist in a dramatic falling-out.
Carmolask is a tan skinned beauty with strawberry red hair and a complex about her small size.
She’s considered blunt by her bandmates, self indulgent and somewhat immature.
She’s incredibly skilled at music, which she approaches like a left-brained, technical skill. She gets a kick out of playing her strings as quickly and carefully as possible, though she is not much for improvisation. She much prefers playing fast-paced, upbeat dance music in taverns and pubs. She likes playing as loud as she can. If she were alive in our modern world, she would probably be a fan of metal music.
Carmolask usually wears a mask of calm. She says everything in a sort of cool, deadpan way that can make it hard to pick up inferences. If she insults, and she probably will, you might not realize it at first.
She tends to get worked up and frenzied during a concert, then she’ll slowly calm down and return to her deadpan self afterwards. She loves eating. She loves sweets, and she loves sleeping.
She also has a temper. One reason she took up music was as a way to control her rage, but that wasn’t enough, so she learned about weapons and combat. She is surprisingly fast and strong, considering her diminutive size. All the other warriors at her school quickly began refusing to spar with her, since most would leave those matches with real wounds.
Surprisingly, Carmolask is the most romantic of the Sea Larks. She falls in love easy, which can be a pain as she’s always on the road.
So, what do you think of Carmolask?
