Creator Journals 8/2/25
Chapter 8 is coming along. It’s definitely coming along. Some of it borders on obscene. There are many things I may change in the next draft.
Generally, my schedule is looking like this: I’m going to try and finish draft 1 of Beach Knight by the end of August, then, in September, I’ll try to grind out draft 2 and also get the rough beginnings of the second book laid out. After that, I probably won’t touch Beach Knight again until late spring of next year. It has to come out in the summer, and I needed to change gears for the colder months to keep things fresh.
As far as this draft goes, I’ve been doing a lot of character work. I think next week I’ll put out some character bios for those interested in the story (and for me, so I can have them easily on hand). If I could draw, I would probably draft sketches too, but alas.
