Creator Journals 7/21/25
The main purpose of this blog is for it to function as a personal journal of sorts. I wanted to get used to the idea of posting something daily, and since I try to write fiction daily, I thought that talking about my process might be the best approach. I do worry that my format is stagnating a bit. So much of my creative thought goes into writing my stories, so sometimes there isn’t a lot to say here without spoiling an upcoming novel.
I also want this blog to be interesting. The worst thing a creation can be is boring, and sometimes I fear that simply mentioning my struggles and accomplishments isn’t really enough to justify this particular work’s existence. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m brainstorming ideas to make my blog more engaging. Expect a bit more experimentation in the upcoming days, but not today. I wrote about 2k words today, and if there was a brainstorm, I fear it would only amount to a quiet Spring drizzle.
However, I can assure you that Beach Knight is becoming better and more magical with each passing day, so, when that’s done, you can count on an amazing read unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Today’s writing tip: Never allow an awkward sentence to exist. Demolish it and replace it with a clear, concise sentence.
