Anatomy of Thefwin Peachwillow

Creator Journals 7/13/25

It’s a Sunday so I’m not obligated to think. In fact, I might be religiously required to not think. That’s one interpretation of the Fourth Commandment, maybe. So I’m just going to talk about Thefwin Peachwillow a bit more. The best blog posts come in trilogies, after all. She’s 5’5, which is tall for an elf woman. She has purple eyes, and silver-blonde hair. Her skin is a pale shade of white, and she uses a number of elvish exclamations, like “By the bark and branches!” and “Petal and pollen!” though she is usually very calm and has little need to exclaim.

In my world, elves came about by the mixing of human and fay blood. They’re not quite mortal and not quite fairy, which makes them outsiders to both the material humans and the more spiritual residents of fairy.

Thefwin lives in a human kingdom, in the bustling vacation capital of Port Starfish. Why does she live there? Maybe it will be revealed at some point. I want to write a lot of Beach Knight books.

Today’s writing tip: If you find yourself starting to hate your story, take a step back. Come back when you can love again.

Success! You're on the list.
