I did a chunk of revision, then deflated. I spent several hours afterward being deflated. Sometimes that happens to me. However, I am determined to finish revising chapter 5! I’m going over it now as I type this blog post.
I’ve got a little more passion for my story. I’m coming up with some weird ideas. Like, what if each physical copy of Beach Knight: Hot Dragon Summer came with a small plastic bag filled with sand from the legendary city of Port Starfish? I’d buy that! Wouldn’t you?
I like collectables, and I like to dream that one day I’ll be able to make my own.
I’ve got all kinds of zany marketing ideas, but I would need some energy and resources to make a lot of them happen.
Like, where would I actually get that sand? Is it legal for me to buy sand at like Home Depot and repackage it and put it in a plastic bag with a Beach Knight label on it? All important things to consider.
Would you buy the book with the sand?
Today’s writing tip: Your first idea isn’t always your best idea, but sometimes it is. Don’t overthink things too much!
