Creator Journals 6/22/25
They say that going to new places, uncommon places, even little things like taking a different path to work in the morning can stimulate the mind to be more creative. I worked at a different location for most of the weekend, and I did different kinds of jobs. I’m looking at Beach Knight from a few different angles. I think I’ve got the egg of something truly profound, and I think there’s room for it in chapter 7. I can’t put the egg into words yet, but it is something and it is real.
Tomorrow I plan to do a bunch of cleaning. A clustered living space impacts the mind, and my mind is already crowded enough. Writing should be the holistic result of living life in line with creative vision. I want writing to be the result of my life, not something I separate myself from life to perform
Today my holistic vision is to get off work, maybe watch a cowboy movie and rest, man. It’s been that kind of weekend. My soul is very much alive, but the flesh is weak.
