Creator Journals 6/2/25

I worked on a side story today. There’s a background narrative in Beach Knight that takes place through a series of flashbacks at the start of each chapter. Early on, I didn’t really know what it was going to be, but I’ve got it figured out now, and I’m writing it like a serial in small, paragraph long installments.

I have a lot of ideas and excitement for my story, but my body is feeling very worn out. I tend to get chest pain and some difficulty breathing when I’m too nervous or overwork myself, and I’m having some of that, so, although I am really excited, I need to be careful not to overdo it.

I dove head-first into figuring out marketing at the start of the month, but I don’t think I really have the juice to focus on that now. The story comes first, the fun, the expression, the release. Getting the story in people’s hands is important, but it’s secondary to me.

I really do hope people read this, though. Ralgar, the Beach Knight, is a very fun character who deserves to be known.

I hope you all get to meet him soon.

Success! You're on the list.
