I think I’ve finally got the email form sorted out. It might not be pretty, but it’s a start! Now I need to come up with things to put in emails! I’ve been told that all writers need to have an email list, so here I am.
Sorry if the technical details are not all that interesting. They are definitely not my cup of tea, so I feel proud of even the smallest accomplishment in that regard. I can check “Create an email list” off the paper “Quest List” I have on my refrigerator, and move on to “Clean the snake tank”. I even saw little numbers pop up above my head indicating gold and experience points.
I’m now on chapter 4 of Beach Knight. While working on the first three was mostly restructuring and revision, a lot of chapter 4 is completely new content I need to write from scratch. Wish me luck! Today I feel like I can do anything with enough coffee.
My self imposed July deadline is approaching quickly. If things don’t pick up, I might need to push Hot Dragon Summer back to September, and I can probably forget about having a finished draft of book 2.
I’m keeping the passion up but managing my expectations.
