I don’t feel like I’m writing fast enough. The Beach Knight outline has ten chapters and I’m still working on chapter three. Not really sure how I’m going to have it done by the start of July and still have it meet all of my quality goals. Headaches are getting worse lately.
Yesterday I spent a good amount of time creating an Instagram Story to advertise my new book. It got a few likes, but no purchases. I’m having a few moments of despair here and there. It feels like I’m expending a lot of energy to be active on socials and it’s still not getting me much. I’m worried it’s wearing me out.
As for my nonbinary orc, I imagine they are a character of few words. They probably respond to “he” or “she” because they don’t particularly care. They might appear androgynous through no conscious effort. I imagine them having long hair that covers most of their face. Kind of an odd character for a police force, so I probably have to give them some special skill, like marksmanship or a very big battle maul. This isn’t even a very major character. I just think they’re fun to talk about.

I recently wrote some about this. Most social media we know is filled with bots and scammers and not exactly fun to use. Spend some time with it, but don’t focus too much on advertising. You already know you’ll burn yourself out if you do.
