Last night, my wife showed me Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Ian Fleming wrote that (Truly Scrumptious is a Bond girl). It was a hell of a movie. Early on, Dick Van Dyke, a crazed inventor, is trying to make money so he can buy his children a broken car. So he goes around town trying to make people buy his weird inventions. He gets all up in their faces blowing his dog-whistles and using haircut robots and things like that. I need to be more like Dick, the crazed inventor, so I’m going to try and be as up in everyone’s face as possible. Thank you Chitty Chitty Bang Bang you magical flying car. You have inspired me.

Today I was doing some final revisions on The Kingdom’s Disdain book 10 “Hounds of Ruin” and I realized I had forgotten how my made-up currency worked. The money comes in “Tails” which are like, chains of coins roped together. I mention gold tails and copper tails and honestly I’m not really sure what the exchange rate is. I should probably go back and read my own books to make sure I have a semi-coherent economic system.
I really need to take better notes. Usually when I’m making things up I’m kind of just going with the flow, making it up as I go along, so I end up establishing a whole bunch of weird lore and potentially forgetting about it. I always feel like I’m going to remember, but I forget a lot. My brain is a wasteland full of mist and illusions.
