WD 221 “Claude Frollo”

A poem inspired by The Muse of Cold Earth.

Claude Frollo

Say what you mean to me

My particles are rippling with the burden of anticipation

And antiseptic creams that wash out infections

You’re covered in them, blistering beasts of unmatched ferocity

The sun sets on you when you like

And you’re back to let the monsters suffocate

Are you afraid of what we could become

If we mingled chemicals?

Straight to the point

Of the syringe

Containing my

Blood

My essence

My hopes for immortality
