A poem inspired by The Muse of Cold Earth.
Azathoth Blind
Black stars falling
I could see you through the veil of immortality
But what reflection would I see in that endless sea?
Vacuous space, forever depth
No knowledge the brain commands could clarify
The steps taken by a Messiah, even the smallest messiah
But we never stopped crying, never stopped caring, and never stopped demanding the promises of childhood
Millennial fools
Thousand year skanks
Dreamers and drug addicts and
Disposable workers
You call me to testify to my ignorance
And I tell you the truth today, there is nothing to be known
Only stars to be seen through the eyes of a dreaming child
