A poem inspired by the Muse of Cold Earth.
Crystal Ball
Keep a silence in your heart
As strong and wild rivers flow
Like the grace of God
Their anthem, a noise
Fear, walking beside me, a companion and protector
The beginning of knowledge, the origin of trembling
-My wreckage rolls, collides, automated like inevitable graying
Sweet dreams up in smoke, blasted to smithereens
I’m crying salt-water and blood from the spear wounds in my side
Shattered glass, broken windows, body damage
All aglow with fire in a crystal ball
-And my soul panteth for that divine grace
Which allows Him to sit by and watch.
