A poem inspired by the Muse of Cold Earth.
This poem is a sequel to Brush I.
Brush II
(Turning Faster)
-The wind can whisper, but it can also scream
Cry, bellow, shriek and boom and
The wind can cool and freeze and break and shatter but
Whatever I say, you can’t tell where I am
-Fire can give you dinner and a show but it
Doesn’t speak in a clear language
It just bites and bites and who knows if I
Want to do that to you. It’s amazing, being
Part of everything and being tethered to one mortal enemy, like the
Sea is bound by gruesome gravity to the earth
Which holds still until it cracks, shatters, coughs out in sickness
But I still can’t say a word to you
-All in one, one in all
-I, the all
-You, the one
-A world of rotations swinging the solar system of clans and peoples around us
And I could, we could all fall off into a cosmos of indifference.
