A poem inspired by The Muse of Cold Earth
Yin and Yang
A span and half a span
The universes of darkness between two gas giants
I am simmering with constant heat but you are a two silences and an explosion
Defying, deifying
Some days the stars wash the daylight away from my eyes and I wish into the invisible darkness
Wish to be there beside you holding your hand in my own on that night, shortest of all but most endless
When the sun was just a planet because it could not outshine you
Light of my darkness
Summer to my heat
And here we are, locked in lifelong orbit
The rising and the setting married by the timelessness of waiting for God.
