Weird Dreams Daily 2 “Immortal Witcher Crabs”

Hi, I’m author, writer, and Halloween cereal eater Paul! Lang, and this is my daily blog.
Almost a year ago, I decided I wanted to do daily blog. This is the second day. Only took me a year. Hooray! But when you are as distractible as I am, a day is as a thousand years, and ten seconds can also feel like ten thousand years. Someone please help me.
Two days ago, I won a hermit crab at a carnival game. The booth was full of tiny plastic terrariums, so I figured they would give me one with the crab, but instead, I was handed a living animal in a tiny plastic sauce cup, as though they wanted me to do a shot of hermit crab.
I had a hermit crab as a kid, but it didn’t live long. Hermit crabs have short lives, but they’re easy to take care of right?
Apparently I was very wrong. According to a cursory google search, they can live 20-30 years! They also are not easy to take care of. They require very specific accommodations, space, a variety of different foods, and both salt water and fresh water.
My fiancé and I went to the pet store to get a second crab, since they are apparently social animals who require companionship, and the man at the pet store told me an arcane secret. “These can live for one hundred and ten years!” Now, I don’t know if this is true. I think it is factually false, but I choose to believe. What is life if we don’t believe in magic. May Geralt and Dandelion (That is what we chose to name them) live to be 110 or 120! May they outlive me! May I pass them on, basketball sized sea monsters, to my great-great grandchildren!

Is there anything you’d like to hear me ramble about? Gimmie something to chew on.
I offer you this blurry photo of Geralt the crab. Praise him.

Also, book 5 of my fantasy saga, The Kingdom’s Disdain is out. Please read, review, share, recommend etc! Thanks!
